Return & Exchange Policy
1. Eligibility for Return (Sales and Purchases)
For Purchases: Customers can return purchased products when the products reach their premises, customers are requested to thoroughly check the products before accepting the delivery. Once the products are accepted by customers, there will not be any return or refunds. If the damages are due to Indorents’, In such scenarios a nominal logistics fees would be deducted from customers and return would be initiated.
For Rentals: Rented products can be returned within 48 hours of delivery if they are damaged or not as described. Customers can refuse to accept the products upon delivery if the products have any defects, damages or not as described. After the initial period, rentals follow the contract terms agreed upon. In such scenarios a nominal logistics fee would be deducted from customers.
2. Multi-Vendor Returns
As a multi-vendor marketplace, return policies may vary slightly based on the vendor’s terms. Specific return instructions will be provided with each vendor’s product listing. Customers are requested to thoroughly check the policies. Customers can initiate returns through the Indorents platform, and we will coordinate with the respective vendor.
3. Non-Returnable Items
Final sale items, personalized products, and refurbished items may have different return policies or be ineligible for return. Rented items cannot be returned after the initial inspection period, but repair services may be offered.
4. Return Process
- Submit a Request: Customers initiate returns through their Indorents account by filling out a return form with the order number and reason for return.
- Approval Process: We evaluate the return claim and approve or reject it based on the condition of the product and the vendor’s terms.
- Return Shipping: If approved, we will arrange return shipping, or the customer may be required to drop off the product, in case of in-store pick-ups.
5. Refund/Exchange (Purchases)
After receiving the returned product, we will inspect it and notify the customer of the refund approval. Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days via the original payment method. Exchanges will be arranged based on product availability.
6. Refund (Rentals)
For Rentals, a refund is only available for initial defective or damaged items reported within 48 hours of delivery. Early termination of rentals will attract a penalty unless specified in the contract. After the termination of contract or when the customer contract is fulfilled and the products are picked up, returned products will be evaluated for damages and refund of security deposit will be initiated within 5 to 7 working days.
7. Shipping & Handling Charges
Return shipping charges are non-refundable, except for cases of defective products or shipping errors. If the customer returns a product due to a defect or vendor error, shipping fees will be covered by Indorents or the vendor.
8. Vendor-Specific Policies
Each vendor may have specific return or refund policies, especially for refurbished products. These details will be outlined on the product listing page. We request our customers to check those thoroughly.
9. Return for Defective Products
If an item is defective or damaged upon arrival, it can be returned at the door, at max it can be returned within 48 hours of delivery for a full refund or exchange. This applies to both purchased and rented items. Once the customer has accepted the order and 48 hours have passed by, returns will not be accepted. This applies to both purchased and rented items. Products that don’t meet safety or quality standards under the Consumer Protection Act will be refunded.
Additional Legal Notes
This return policy adheres to the relevant provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Customers have the right to request refunds for defective or damaged goods as per the law. Indorents ensures compliance with state regulations to protect consumer rights.
